Hidden from us, too, by default
Savings and investment totals are not on our screens. Amounts, descriptions and notes are hidden too; we reveal them temporarily, with a recorded reason, only when we need to look into an enquiry or a fault.

Stripe (industry standard)
Credit card data is held by Stripe. Mirai Kanai never stores card info.

FAQ
Is it really free forever?
+Yes. Manual entry, CSV import, tracking, stats, portfolio management, and double-entry accounting are free forever. Only AI auto-import (OCR) has conditions due to per-transaction operating costs: 3 months free for new users, extended with referrals (* coming soon), or a monthly paid plan.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
+Data is retained for 90 days, during which you can recover by re-registering. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted. You can also export your data as CSV / PDF before deletion.
Are you really ad-free?
+Yes. Mirai Kanai will never use ads, affiliate marketing, or referral fees. Business models that profit from recommending products conflict with Mirai Kanai's philosophy (= a flat mirror).
Is my personal and financial data secure?
+Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Credit card data is held by our payment processor; Mirai Kanai does not store card info. For what our own staff can see, please read the next question.
What can you see in my household?
+Only your transaction list. There is no screen on our side that shows your savings or investment totals. Amounts, descriptions and notes are hidden by default; we reveal them temporarily, with a recorded reason, only when a support request or a bug requires it.
